How do I find an agent?

If you are not in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas where I can personally help you, touch base with your lender. Lenders rely heavily on Realtors for business and so they have strong relationships with great local agents. What makes a great real estate agent?

In my opinion, a great real estate agent is a strong communicator by nature. They respond quickly, they follow up and they actively listen to your needs by reading between the lines and anticipating potential problems. Great real estate agents know their markets and have strong professional relationships with the key people you'll deal with during a transaction like title companies, photographers, home staging professionals, inspectors, other agents, roofers, painters and so on. Without these relationships, transactions are open to disaster. Every home buying experience is differnt and you need experts on speed dial, when it all hits the fan. The final aspect I'll mention about great real estate agents is that they are prepared for everything. They keep cool under pressure, they are resourceful and they stop at nothing to get the deal done for you!
